In Eko Method we want kids who learn a second language to speak it, be able to express themselves and their inner world and feel that the learning process is relevant to their lives. It was born out of the need to help students with learning disabilities improve their spoken skills while learning to read and write in a language other than their mother tongue. Since its beginning with special education students, it has since shown excellent results with all kids (grade 4 and up) learning a new language.
In Eko Method we find it necessary to incorporate kids’ keen interests, imagination and creativity in the curriculum (we actually turn all of those into a curriculum) as well as develop a profound inner motivation for learning.
The tools are easy to learn and apply and can be acquired via online courses, on-site workshops (Ontario, Canada only) or combined.
